Providing guidance and council, Eqos' Board of Directors includes the company's original founders, external industry executives, and the company's investors, all of whom have a wealth of expertise in IT and retail centric industries.
Lee Tate
Lee Tate has over 40 years' experience in the information technology industry, covering programming, systems analysis, strategic consulting, and general management. Among his career positions are two spells of consulting, with Price Waterhouse and A. T. Kearney, 6 years as head of Management Services at the Financial Times, a similar period as head of IT for the Government of Hong Kong, and Senior Management and Board positions at ICL. Latterly he was the CEO of International Network Services Ltd, a successful electronic commerce company, and of Sorbus Europe, a large international computer services company. Lee is now pursuing a "portfolio career" and is currently the Chairman of software companies in the mobile data and business-to-business e-commerce markets, including Eqos.
Mike Quinn
Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Eqos
Since co-founding the company in 1997, Mike has led Eqos from its formation to a highly recognized, award winning software company, meeting the needs of key retailers and financial institutions in the Supplier Management arena. It is Mike's vision, enthusiasm and supplier management expertise that has led him to the forefront in applying Web based solutions and business models to enable companies to achieve operational efficiency, agility and competitive advantage. Management Today magazine voted Mike in the "Top 40 Web Entrepreneurs in the UK" and Mike was a finalist at the "UK Entrepreneur of the Year Award" in the Emerging Technologies category. Prior to forming Eqos, Mike was involved in electronic commerce, sales and marketing with the UK and global market leader, GE Information Services. Mike holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Manchester and has been involved in the IT industry for over 23 years.
Chris Foulkes
Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Eqos
A co-founder of Eqos, Chris's passion for technology and expertise in supply chain management led him to be the principal architect of the Eqos Platform. His customer centric role and hands-on technical approach stretches his expertise to an in-depth understanding of a wide range of collaborative retail business processes which can be managed by the Eqos solution. Prior to Eqos, Chris held senior consulting positions with the former Coopers & Lybrand, subsequently joining GE Information Services European retail team, where he held responsibility for specification and design for the ECR product portfolio. Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from University College, London, and is fluent in French and Italian.
Joseph E. Laughlin
Joseph E. Laughlin was, until recently, the Chief Executive Officer of Agentrics, responsible for all aspects of the business-to-business electronic marketplace and software development and technology solutions provider serving the global retail industry. Prior to this Joe held senior positions at Sears, Roebuck & Co, Wells Fargo Bank, the US Treasury Department's Office of Thrift Supervision in Washington, DC and at Booz, Allen and Hamilton, Inc. Joe holds bachelor's degress in economics and finance from the Catholic University of America in 1986 and a master's degree in business administration in finance and investments from George Washington University in 1988. He also holds a graduate degree in banking from the American Bankers Association's Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Joe is based in the US.
Nick Teasdale
Nick Teasdale is a General Partner at Advent Venture Partners. After qualifying as a chartered accountant, he gained initial experience in investment management with the National Enterprise Board and in sales and marketing management at Black & Decker. Nick then co-founded an expert systems software company where we was closely involved in all aspects of its commercial and financial management. He re-entered venture capital in 1989, and began working with Advent in 1996. Nick holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and is a non-executive director of a number of information technology companies, including Eqos.
Paul Allman
Chief Financial Officer, Eqos
Paul joined Eqos in 2002, having previously spent 5 years working in Silicon Valley, USA, with both public and venture backed start-up organizations, including Constellar Corporation where he held the position of CFO. Paul's experience spans the enterprise software, bio-informatics and pharmaceutical sectors. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants and graduated with honours from John Moores University.
