Co-operative Insurance (CIS) adopts Eqos' Supplier Management system to resolve claims
10th July 2006
Co-operative Insurance (CIS) is to process personal household claims through Royal & SunAlliance's new Internet-based system provided by supplier management experts Eqos.
Jamie Allsop, CIS Project Manager, Claims Transformation Programme, said "The Eqos system enables us to quickly identify the most appropriate supplier and resolve claims faster. Additional benefits are that the system delivers more accurate information and provides a near real-time view of a claim's status. It has also proven to be easy to use and we already have 100 claims handlers operating the system."
The benefits for CIS are achieved by using a central repository for both supplier and claim information, with an automated procedure for the interaction of all parties involved, from instruction to final payment of suppliers.
Implemented in just under three months, the Eqos system forms part of CIS' Claims Transformation Programme that is being rolled out, building on £30M savings already realised through a series of anti-fraud and operational improvement measures.
