Eqos with Debenhams wins Retail Application Developer Award for their B2B private portal

Eqos collected its fourth Microsoft Retail Application Developer Award at a ceremony held in Paris on 9 April 2003. The award was given for Eqos' work with Debenhams to develop a private B2B collaborative portal for managing the store group's relationship with its international supplier operation, starting with ordering and logistics.
Mike Quinn, CEO, Eqos commented "This award recognizes the lead that Debenhams is building in the retail sector through having an agile supply chain that allows the business to react quickly to changing customer demand."
Eqos' modular solutions allow Debenhams to adopt a manageable approach to undertaking business transformation, making it possible to tackle select areas of the supply chain one at a time. Initial work on order management and logistics will provide visibility, alerts and exception management for Debenhams' buyers, merchandisers and distribution centre personnel and its 700 plus suppliers, including those providing third party logistics services.
Eqos previously won Microsoft RAD awards for excellence in the Retail Supply Chain in 2002 and 2000 as well as a 'special award' for the Value Chain Initiative.
For 2003 a judging panel of industry experts reviewed a record number of entries from 19 countries throughout Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). This year's RAD Awards were co-sponsored by EMC Corporation and Intel Corporation.
