Eqos To Unveil New Product at Retail Systems 2006 Chicago
22 May 2006
Chicago, Retail Systems Conference, McCormick Place Booth #2216 (May 22, 2006) - Eqos Ltd., experts in sourcing and supplier management solutions for worldwide retail supply chains, today announced the launch of Eqos Sourcing version 3.0. Eqos Sourcing is a web-based application developed to help retailers streamline and scale their sourcing operations by allowing every member in the supply chain - whether in Peoria or Beijing - to collaborate online to access the most up-to-date information and status on the sourcing process of consumer goods.
Based on incorporating best practices through its work with retailers such as Best Buy and Tesco, the new Eqos product enables retailers to manage the sourcing process of all goods from initial concept and design through to product specification, bid management and assessment, estimation of landed costs, packaging, sampling, testing and final order confirmation.
Hosted by Eqos, the solution includes critical path management, workflow, reporting analytics and an alerts and exceptions function. Information including product images, is entered in a master repository, which reduces duplication and errors and provides a single view of the supply pipeline which is accessible to approved internal or external users.
Eqos Sourcing is intuitive for users allowing for all levels of designers, technicians and buyers, as well as supplier personnel, to track the sourcing process easily. The solution also enables suppliers to be monitored from a quality, compliance and risk management perspective.
"Retailers can unlock significant margin improvement if they operate a more efficient supply chain, " says Mike Quinn, Eqos CEO. "Eqos Sourcing helps retailers reduce lead times and control budgets better to bring more product to market quicker and cost effectively."
Eqos Sourcing will be available June 2006.
