Eqos wins third European Retail Application Developer Award in three years
10 April 2002
Eqos was awarded its third European Retail Application Developer Award, at a ceremony held this week in Paris. This Microsoft award for excellence in the Retail Supply Chain, was given for Eqos' Retail Event Management - (REM) Workbench, a suite of applications developed with Accenture using Eqos' Platform technology. Previously, the company has won both the Retail Supply Chain Award and a 'Special Award' for the Value Chain Initiative in this competition which recognizes innovation, vision and excellence in the use of Microsoft technologies.
The awards were judged on criteria such as quantifiable business benefits, ease of adoption, best integration and exploitation of Internet and intranet technologies and best use of available Microsoft technology. Judges commented that this year it was clear that companies had really thought through the business issues as well as the technology.
Mike Quinn, CEO, Eqos commented: "This endorsement demonstrates not only our continuing innovation and lead in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) solutions but also our capability to deliver substantial business benefits to blue chip customers. Collaborative technology has moved on from the province of early-adopters to become a 'must have' for mainstream retailers. We are also, of course, proud to be recognized alongside winning solutions from companies such as Marks & Spencer."
This year's RAD awards were organized in association with the annual Global Retail Technology Forum 2002 and co-sponsored by Compaq Computer Corporation, EMC Corporation and Intel Corporation. Entries came from across the EMEA region including France, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, South Africa, Israel, Romania, Greece and the UK.
